Sponsorships are $50.00.  Sponsors help support an animal of their choosing for a one year period.  Sponsorship funds help cover the costs of food, caging, maintenance and veterinary care.  Since Fox Wood Wildlife Rescue has no paid employees, every penny donated goes to the care of the animals.  Sponsors will receive a 5 X 7 photograph of their animal and a certificate recognizing their gift to wildlife.  A receipt for your tax-deductible donation will also be included.  Donations may be made through PayPal by clicking on the Sponsor buttons below, or by sending a check for $50.00 to: Fox Wood Wildlife Rescue, 11156 Old Glenwood Road, East Concord, NY 14055 . Please include the name of the animal you wish to sponsor on the memo line of your check. We have more animals for Sponsorships than are pictured here, so please feel free to send us an e-mail and ask what we have available!

One great dog with an incredible story! We caught this frightened, shy dog after he avoided daily capture attemptsfor 6 months, even though he was running on a broken hip. A generous donor helped us get his hip repaired. This and other great Pyrenees dogs need your help. To donate for Great Pyrenees rescue, click above.  To inquire about adopting a Pyr, e-mail us! Sniglet is a lovely little Silver fox that we call "Piglet" at feeding time. She was born in April 2005. She was an exotic pet fox that was no longer wanted by her owner. Sniglet will have to stay here as a permanent resident.  She will help educate people about exotic pet foxes, and hopefully become a foster mother for wild pups. Little Boy- A six year old Eastern Coyote Orphaned as a newborn after his mother was shot and killed during spring turkey season. Please sponsor this gentle, sweet coyote. We rehabiltate wild coyotes.  They are very shy and easily handled, unlike common perception. Squeaky Needs a Sponsor!
Her Momma was shot and the pups taken and distributed as pets. Squeaky was eventually confiscated by law enforcement officers who ordered her to be destroyed. Her only chance at life was if she was accepted here. As you can see- she charmed us into a permanent home!

Thanks to her sponsors, Heather is able to roam around with her friends in a large new pen with trees, and lots of dirt to dig in. Heather is 11 years old and needs sponsors!!

Heather is especially valuable to us because she cares for and loves all of the orphaned rEd fox pups that come to Fox Wood every year.  She helps us raise them strong and wild.

2005 pups! These orphaned Red fox pups were released! They are now wild and free thanks to donations from people like you! New babies will be arriving in the Spring of 2006, orphaned, injured and ill.... From intake to release, each orphan will cost us over $400.! Pride is a very sweet female Red fox that was hit by a car when she was a pup. She was driven all the way here by taxi from New York City!!!!! Pride sustained permanent head and hip injuries and is now a permanent resident. Pride needs sponsors!  Pride shares a pen with her handsome companion, Prince. Both Pride and Prince need sponsors. Rocky was a wild fox pup kidnapped and kept in a tiny wire crate for a year.  He is now a permanent resident here and has the largest pen of all to share with his new fox friends. Rocky is very sweet and needs a sponsor!

Bear
Lucy
Lassie
Little Girl
Bear is a young Great Pyrenees dog that has permanent injuries on both front legs from suffering in wolf or large coyote traps for days.  He came to Fox Wood in September 2005 after the shelter was going to euthanize him. Bear is a gentle giant with a very sweet disposition. Bear now works as a therapy dog, visiting the elderly in area nursing homes.  Please sponsor Bear's good work.
Lucy is the oldest fox here. We figure her to be at least 16 years old. She was sent here by airplane all the way from Florida. She was a discarded exotic pet. Lucy is deaf, is losing her eyesite and doesn't have many teeth left.  She serves as a doting grandma to new orphaned red fox pups every year/ Lassie is 14 years old.  She was dropped off at a wildlife center in Florida when her owner realized that Arctic foxes do not make good apartment pets....  Lassie is permanently blind.  She serves as an educational ambassador. Little Girl is a six year old female coyote whose mother was shot and killed during spring turkey season.  She is a beautiful and gentle educational animal here.  There is a lot of misinformation about coyotes being perpetuated.  They are very shy and elusive.
